My religion is kindness.
~Dalai lama

The purpose of our lives is to evolve toward fulfilment. We are here in this world to achieve our spiritual potential; to literally become God-like. The course of self-transformation, however, is not something that happens on an abstract level. It takes place between ourselves and the people around us.

Our relationships (regardless of the connection) are our opportunities to learn, apply and teach tolerance, sharing, and love: all that is our Creator’s essence. These are among the highest of qualities we need in order to fulfil the true purpose of our existence.

In the words of the Dalai lama:

Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquillity and happiness we all seek.

Welcome to June!

…and allow me to introduce you to a heightened view of the number 2.

Empathy, cooperation, consideration, compassion, mediation, understanding, generosity, kindness, balance, partnership… these are but few of the traits the 2 possesses.

Regardless of whether we personally have any predominant 2’s in our charts, these are characteristics that we should fold into our essence. Why wouldn’t we want to?

In order to achieve the tranquillity and happiness, as addressed by the Dalai lama, the 2 commands us to adopt the following principles:

Balance the male and female aspects within. Act with understanding and compassion.

What is the big mystery of the male and female sides? Why do we need to be so aware of this? What is the significance of acknowledging and aligning these qualities?

The answers are simple.

As one person we need to be in constant balance to be able to achieve the best of our world: mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Both sides, the male and the female, have to arrive at a harmonious whole. It is this alignment that causes us to feel whole.

The male side is linked to our lucidity, logic, linear thinking and understanding: it imparts the essence of knowledge. The female side is connected to feelings, nurturing, compassion and awareness: it imparts the essence of wisdom. Each of us have the capacity for the emotional and the mental facilities. Very few people, however, develop both equally; because very few people are even aware of the imbalance to begin with.

This is where we call on the aspect of 1 that we learned previously:

Know who you are and move through this world with confidence and a keen sense of self-awareness.

Ask yourself whether you lean toward the male or female mode of thought, expression and response. Then ask yourself how you can integrate its counterpart.

Through developing and calling on both positions to make our choices, before we act and/or react, we will intrinsically discover that we have arrived at the place of understanding and compassion; of both learned knowledge and applied wisdom.

That is the brilliance of the number 2, and why those who have this number predominantly in their charts make for brilliant partners, counsellors, advisors and mediators…

*Most 2’s are innately balanced in the aspect of logic and emotion. Their male force directs them to a higher level of understanding. Their female force directs them to a higher level of compassion.

But the blessed 2’s among us didn’t quite corner the market on these qualities. They are there for all of us to learn from and share with one another.

Perhaps this is why the Dalai lama said: ‘Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquillity and happiness we all seek.’

Wishing you each happiness in abundance,
Christine Rossini

On Life’s Path
Numerologist & Life Path Intuit
http://www.lifepath.webs.com/

*It has been noted in study that when we experience blockages or imbalances in our male/female aspects, the consequence can be harmful, even severe. It is believed that manic depression can present when the right and left energies are out of balance. When fixated on the right hemisphere (the male side), the body weakens, becomes thin, and heart issues may ensue. When fixated on the left hemisphere (the female side), one may become lethargic, over weight and easily depressed. The physical source of these energies is the perineum in the male and the vulva in the female. The male energy can be manic, whereas the female energy leans toward depression.

May, 2010: Living through the 1

One of the things I am most inspired by is the connection of message in our universe. There are two noteworthy orders I have studied and become particularly motivated by: the first is the teachings and philosophies of Pythagoras, the Father of Western Numerology.

This you are all already well aware of, I’m sure.

The second is that of Taoism, and the recorded ‘Tao Te Ching’. I have spoke little of Chinese Philosopher, Tao Tzu through reference and quotes. I’d like very much to expand on a significant Taoist principle - for it is, in deed, entirely similar to one of the profound laws of Pythagorean ideal.

Again, here are two distinct policies, seemingly without connection. Pythagoras was a Greek Philosopher of 500 BC. It is believed that he studied in India and Egypt. And Tao Tzu was a Chinese Philosopher of 6th century BC. He did not study in Greece, India or Egypt, as far as anyone knows. And, yet, they carry such a similar view, it is difficult not to support the integrity of their message.

The core means of achieving stillness and understanding was the Tao: a term meaning 'the way' or 'the path.' One of the translations of Te is to mean ‘virtue’, and Ching refers to the laws of nature. In short, Tao Te Ching is directly deciphered as “The Canon of Virtue and it's Way”. The Tao was the most important mystical expression of the Lao Tzu and the Taoists; an enigmatic source for all things.

Taoism, much like the teachings of Pythagoras, edifies that avoiding or strategizing how to overcome obstacles is completely counter-productive. Instead, it is absolutely vital that we discern and follow the natural flow of life circumstances and to react with appreciation and thought. It is only through this process that we can advance our personal enlightenment, and achieve a true sense of inner-peace and balance.

In other words: happiness is not to be without challenge or strife. Happiness is embracing these aspects of human existence and allowing their lessons to shape our inner-strength and awareness.

To succeed this way of thought may appear a lengthy and daunting journey… but it’s not. It all begins with respecting the first principle of numerological influence:

1: know who you are and move through this world with confidence and a keen sense of self-awareness.

Welcome to May, my friends!

Allow me to introduce you to the brilliant number 1.

There is a certain deception regarding this number, and it’s influence. It does not mean the “first”, it simply means The Beginning. There is something that exists before the beginning, and it’s this very standard that is often overlooked. That disregarded feature would be… The Idea. Beginning cannot exist without something to breathe life into it.

What is your idea?

In accordance with Taoist practices, it is not value-added to make a plan. From this moment just embrace where you’ve been and allow the natural order to take shape as you move forward. Know that whatever appears on your path is not negative or positive in nature. Only your reactions and responses are negative or positive. Choose at this moment which attitude you’ll carry with you.

In accordance with Numerological practices, we must embrace all numerical aspects in order to achieve balance, contentment and success. To begin, it is essential to fold the qualities of 1 into our metaphoric coffer of fortitude. These intrinsic values are:

Creative thought, independence, originality, a strong ego, a sense of self

The Number One is the opening development of self. It is knowing where we came from and appreciating that which has led us to this place. It is using creative thought to regard our path, this far, with a different view. It is using that same will to embark on a new path. It is reflecting on our skills and talents and acknowledging how we can use them to best serve our purpose. Without that sense of ego or identity we would feel displaced, lacking the confidence to move forward as an individual. The 1 reminds us to stand tall and to honour our convictions regardless of retribution. The 1 commands us to move forward with care, compassion and tact.

As Pythagoras said: No one is free who has not obtained the empire of himself.

And I am saying… On Life’s Path, happiness cannot be attained without knowing and valuing your divine potential and purpose.

Take a deep breath. Know that you are exactly where you are meant to be. This world was made for you. And, yes, there is much work to be done. But, there is also much to celebrate as you do it. I promise.

With light & love,
Christine Rossini

On Life’s Path
Numerologist & Life Path Intuit
www.lifepath.webs.com

April, 2010: Know Thyself

Above the cloud with its shadow is the star with its light. Above all things reverence thyself.
~Pythagoras

Pythagoras (approximately 569 BCE - 475 BCE, ) was an Ionian mathematician and philosopher. Today, he is best known as the Father of Western Numerology and for the Pythagorean theorem, that bears his name.

Pythagoras made powerful contributions to both philosophy and religious teachings in the late 6th century BC. Pythagoras believed that everything was linked to mathematics. He theorized that everything could be calculated and predicted through patterns and cycles. The Pythagorean system, is among the most continuing and accepted of all self-improvement methods ever shaped. And, I’ve little doubt, that knowing the impact his life has imparted warms his spirit immensely.

I’m sure Pythagoras would agree: our evolutionary path begins with…

Know thyself.

It's such a simple statement - but the impact it carries is absolute and all encompassing. Knowing who you are and seeing yourself - your strengths and weaknesses - with candid, honest eyes, is the greatest clue for your purpose, your screaming potential and, ultimately, your life mission.

The skills we possess, the issues that motivate and challenge us, the perpetual cycles we experience, the types of people we attract, the values we hold dearest and aim to live up to... these are the clues that we must look to when questioning what gifts we bring to this world. Just as an artist can put pencil to paper and sketch out the most awe-inspiring image, I'm a life path intuit and am able to look at the numerical patterns in our name and birth date and see a portrait or chart. I've long since stopped questioning how it is that I can do that. I'm more interested in figuring out how I can teach you to do what I can do… to know what I know… to see yourself as I see you…

Above all things… please reverence thyself. You are an incredible and wondrous spirit. Welcome to April! And a very Happy Easter to you and your loved ones.

My veneration for Numerology transcends my understanding of each number and the code or message that’s extended through its patterns. It’s the message that inspires me. It prompts me to view the world and its occupants in a very different light. It motivates me to seek greater awareness and to find evidence to support my faith.

I know what it is to be unhappy. I know what it is to find moments of happiness. I know what it is to be surrounded by darkness and confusion, and I know what it is to have moments of absolute clarity. I am just like you; subject to error, imperfections and weariness - and I reach out for knowledge and reason to bring order to my cluttered thoughts. I am human, and though it can be entirely discouraging at times: I am so very thankful, deep down, that I am on this journey, that we are all on this journey, and that God has made provision that we come together to gather lesson and succeed our mission together.

It was exactly one year ago that I sent my first newsletter. Did you know that? I actually started my monthly diatribe without forced direction. Each month a wrote based on whatever form of inspiration came to me in that moment. I let the natural order and influence take on its own course and I followed it trusting it would lead me somewhere solid.

This is more than an anniversary for me. It is a perfect circle.

For those of you who were with me a year ago (quite literally that would be 1/10th of you) you may recall my message, then.

If you need a refresher, please visit: http://www.lifepath.webs.com/The_Fool.jpg

This is a new beginning. This time my direction is clear. And thank you to the spirit of Pythagoras, once again, for helping me. For helping all of us. The recipe for happiness dwells within the numbers, my friends. I have said this many times, but now I think I’ve found the code. But first…

Did you know that one of the doctrines Pythagoras taught and supported was the equality for women? Yes. He believed that we were all equal and that each sex brought a balancing element to the universe. It is also believed that eventually his school (that taught this supposition) was burned down, and that he died in that fire. It appears that his views were not entirely accepted or appreciated… or perhaps the truth imparted in his views were feared for the power of suggestion.

With Pythagoras in mind, I’ve decided that the newest addition to the On Life’s Path site would make its breakout début this Mother’s Day: in honour of the first woman I knew on earth… my mommy.

The message for my new site is:

Don’t look to the future for what promise it holds; rather look within and make yourself a promise. For we are our destiny, the writers of our own fate.

Please join me in this new journey and invite others to share in the experience. An empty book lays before us and we can write a new story. Let’s bring life to Pythagoras’s vision: happiness is not unattainable. It starts with knowing ourselves, by revering ourselves, by understanding others and sharing our light.

The true mark of such mastery is embracing all of the numbers and adopting their influence as we journey and evolve.

1: know who you are and move through this world with confidence and a keen sense of self-awareness.

2: balance the male and female aspects within. Act with understanding and compassion.

3: express who you are, say how you feel and take the time to offer a smile to stranger.

4. reserve emotion when making the hard choice and allow logic to guide you.

5. appreciate challenge as an opportunity to change old patterns and to expand in your growth.

6. nurture the child within, and build strong and healthy relationships.

7. seek out knowledge, wisdom and truth. Share what you learn.

8. respect who you are, and move with purpose and direction. Feel a keen sense of inner power and don't allow others to steal your power from you.

9. on life's path allow your innate talents to shine; but do not forget to lift other's along the course.

Each OLP newsletter from hereafter will explore these principals in greater depth.

What is the secret of happiness?

It's embracing every one of these qualities.

Remember, we are our destiny and the writer of our fate. Yes, we are who we are. We each came here with a plan and select skill-set. The trick is to acknowledge that, in the book of life, the margin of our potential is absolute and ever-expanding.

Perhaps this is why Pythagoras said: Above the cloud with its shadow is the star with its light. Above all things reverence thyself.

With love,
Christine Rossini

On Life’s Path
Numerologist & Life Path Intuit
http://www.lifepath.webs.com/

Welcome to November!

November’s influence is two-fold and ruled under the charge of two of the most powerful and inspiring numbers: the 9 and the 11.

The name of the month November derives from the Roman word 'novem' (meaning nine), because it was once the ninth month in the Roman calendar.

The power and mystical symbolism of 9:

9 is a Square Number(3x3).

9 is the maximum number of cubes that are needed to sum to any positive integer.

When 9 is multiplied by any number, the sum of the digits in the outcome is equal to 9. It's strongly related to prophesy, intuition, psychic flashes, clairvoyance, and innate wisdom.

Many analysts also note that there is a certain sense of "finality" associated with the 9 because it’s the largest and last digit. This is specifically obvious in its repdigit form, 999.
Jesus often used numbers in his parables. His use of 9 (or a repdigit of 9) is no exception: ‘How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?’

Likewise, He used 9 (= 10-1) in Luke 17:17: ‘And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?’

For Jim, a brilliant man whom I’ve met through Facebook, I also give you the following example of numerical connection in biblical context:

The 9th Commandment
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

The opening verse of Romans 9:
I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
Romans 9:1-2

I think it to be of significance that the 9th commandment is exercised in the opening verse of Romans 9. Further to that, the reference of "continual sorrow" also happens to be well-known in the Roman Catholic perception of 9 and its clear relation to prayer:

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
Acts 3:1

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Acts 10:30

It is twice in Book of Acts that the "ninth hour" is associated with prayer, and in both these cases you will note that the verse indices are a combination of 1 and 3: Acts 3:1 and Acts 10:30

1030 is the value of the word “entuxis”, meaning ‘intercessory prayer‘
1030 is twice the value of “tiphlah”, the Hebrew word for prayer
515, the value of the word “tiphlah”, is also biblically linked to James
James 5:15 is the famous verse regarding the "prayer of faith"

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
James 5:15

Coincidence?

5:15
5+5+1 = 11

The spiritual meaning of number eleven is quite wide-spread and, yet, distinct. The number 11 is thought of as a "master" number in numerology because it’s a double digit of the same number. As you will see below, it is also the exact vibrational sum of Jesus’s name.

J E S U S
1 5 1 3 1 = 11

11 represents: higher ideals, invention, refinement, harmony, balance, fulfilment and vision. It’s not uncommon for 11 to present in constant reoccurrences (example: looking at the clock at exactly 11:11 repetitiously). When this happens it reminds us that we need to be more aware of situations in our life and that we need find an order of balance.

The 9 may be viewed through the dual nature of ending and infinity; whereas, 11 is the symbol of our unyielding and evolutionary journey.

The most remarkable link to both 9 and 11 that I’ve personally discovered?

It also happens to be the numbers in my birth date: The 9th day of the 11th month.

Okay, perhaps that last point is a little over-stated, nonetheless, it might provide you each an insight on me; and just why it means so much that I share with you what I know:

We are not without a map to our Life Path, nor do we walk alone. And to those of you who join me from other countries (a big shout out to my new friend in India!), I include you all because you are a big part of my Thanksgiving this year. I am thankful that our paths have crossed. You are a part of my spiritual garden and I am ever thankful for that.

The History and Origin of the Canadian Thanksgiving

In Canada, the history of Thanksgiving goes as far back as 1578 when the English explorer, Martin Frobisher (who had been trying to find a northern passage to the Orient), arrived in the Canadian province now known as Newfoundland. He established a settlement and held a ceremony to give thanks for surviving the long journey. This is considered to be the first Canadian Thanksgiving; and when other settlers arrived, they continued these ceremonies of thanks.

Around that same time, French settlers, having crossed the ocean, arriving in Canada with explorer Samuel de Champlain, also held great feasts of thanks. They went on to form 'The Order of Good Cheer', sharing their food with their new Indian neighbours.

In 1763, after the Seven Year's War ended, the people of Halifax held a special day of Thanksgiving.

November 6th was the original ‘national holiday’ of Canadian Thanksgiving (in 1879). Over the years that date has changed many times. The most popular was the 3rd Monday in October. There was even a time, after World War I, that both Armistice Day and Thanksgiving were celebrated on the same day: the Monday of the week in which November 11th fell. It was in 1931, however, that the two days became separate holidays and Armistice Day was renamed Remembrance Day.

Finally, on January 31st, 1957, Parliament decreed "A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed…” to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.

And here we are today.

A Continued Tradition of Thanksgiving

If our lives were a garden, how plentiful would they be?

The metaphoric seeds that have been planted, have germinated, have taken root and have cultivated, ever reaching toward our evolutionary intent. Give thanks for the harvest of our good deeds, for the good deed of others, for our own spiritual harvest.

God did not make the garden. He made the earth in which it grows. He created the seeds that are planted, He shines light upon it, rain upon it, and He provides an assortment of nutrients to ensure their healthy growth. But… we till the soil, we must nurture the seeds that are planted, we must protect and care for what we are growing. And if we hoard the harvest... there’s a very good chance that we’ll never consume all that it yields. The surplus will rot and it will spoil. And that is how we are meant to work with God.

How do we give thanks to Our Creator? We use all that He has supplied us, we grow our gardens well, and we share what we have harvested with our neighbours and friends alike.

This Thanksgiving let us not only give thanks for what we have; but thanks for what we have to share.

Quotes of Thanksgiving Through History

Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving. ~ W.T. Purkiser

How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world. ~William Shakespeare

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes. ~E. E. Cummings

What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it - would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have. ~Ralph Marston

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is 'thank you', it will be enough. ~Meister Eckhart

I leave you with no affirmations of thanks, for I know that you each have already validated them in your lives, through how you live. You each are a testament to the fact that there is, in deed, beauty in this world.

May the harvest of your existence be plentiful and unyielding.

With Love & Blessings,
Christine Rossini

On Life’s Path
Numerologist & Life Path Intuit

www.lifepath.webs.com

A warm and wondrous welcome to September, my friends!

I’d like to take a moment and step out of my monthly diatribe, to welcome the new additions to this mailing list. August has been a month of brilliant correspondence and suggestions - and I feel blessed to find myself in this place. It just goes to show that the world is truly filled with incredible people: sometimes you just need to know where to look. How fortunate am I that I needn’t look much further than my e-mail contact list? Thanks to each and every one of you for inviting me into your lives, for reciprocating the faith I have in you; for walking with me… On Life’s Path.

There is a certain affinity and appreciation I have for the month of September. As a Numerologist I am humbled by the majesty of our World’s Design. We are not without a map to our Life Path. We are not alone, wandering blind. There are signposts and clues everywhere. And they all connect so seamlessly I'm in awe of our Maker’s Brilliance. He knew the challenges we would face. And He provided for us, that we might succeed our personal mission. Our chart is a pattern. Coincidence is but a key, unlocking the code of that pattern. The pattern is not the design. The pattern is how we are intended to improve the design.

We are not to meant to know everything we’re destined to face. But, we can learn how to work through our challenges with less impact. We can learn how to recognize our blessings, even when we don‘t feel very blessed. And we can learn to be greater than the sum of our design. But, what does that have to do with September?

Everything.

September is the last month of the third quarter. It is the ninth month, the end of a cycle. It is the month that shares the numerical influence of the personal year. It is the absolute and most significant month of the year!

It is the month of reflection, found insight, applied skill and shared knowledge.

The impact of September can be likened to a double-edged sword. For all the good that the year’s influence has imparted, so are the benefits felt more strongly here. For all the lessons gone unlearned or signposts gone unseen… this is the month where you have the opportunity to make up for what you thought was lost. Because: opportunity is NEVER lost. It starts with taking a moment to evaluate the eight months passed.

What did you set out to accomplish this year? Did you do everything you could to succeed that vision? What more could you have done?

Good news!!

There is still three more months ahead of you to realize that vision! Reflection is NOT best saved to the end of the experience. This is YOUR year! You still have now and you still have the days ahead!

God bless September!!!

This month can either be the most difficult month of the year or it can be the most rewarding. Which course would you like to set? It is your call. Destiny is not made. We make it as we move; with each and every step, choice, action and reaction. We ARE our destiny. We have a job to do and an obligation to reflect with honest eyes, to accept the insight our spirits reveal, to put into action what we know we must do: to shed light on the path ahead for us and for our neighbours.

Welcome to September, in deed!

And just to share a glimpse with you of what it is I see when I evaluate this World:

Little Keys…

September. Astrological influence: Virgo

One of the aspects that most find difficult to understand about our Virgo friends: they are honest and reflective. They are hard on their selves and settle for nothing less than perfection. They are accused of being workaholics; but that’s only because they work very hard and they won’t settle for being less that what they know they are. They have a keen sense of understanding. Their analytical (and often, literal) mind doesn’t see things the way we common folk do. They see a task at hand, they analyse it, they find a way to perfect or succeed it, then they apply their skill. They are the Master Teachers of their trade. For nothing they do, they do in vain. The perfect motto for a Virgo would be: I serve.

September. Numerical influence: Nine

Unlike the personal influence of 9 in our birth name or date, the influence of nine on a cosmic level is slightly different. It is the time to analyse what you have, what you need and what you don’t. What you have learned, what lessons have you applied, or what should you have done instead? It is the absolute essence of contemplation, deliberation and introspection. Who adds to your life and who takes away? This is the year of epiphany; to take what you’ve learned and to use this knowledge to set a new course. There are many good byes in the year of the Nine. And that which stays… there is still much to teach and much to learn from.

September. Tarot Influence: The Hermit

The Hermit isn’t what it sounds like or what it appears to be at all. The Hermit does not hide or pull away to wallow in seclusion - though this may well be what the Hermit would rather do. No… the Hermit is too analytical to not find the solution to the problem. He reminds us that all the answers to our struggles are right before us. We just need to still our mind and look up. The Hermit says that it’s okay to ask for help, but this really is a problem you must work out for yourself. You need to take the insight and skill you’ve gathered and mastered, and you need to set your own course. It’s a test of resolve. The Hermit reminds us that we must stop, wake up, see ourselves with honest eyes, move forward, work hard; and - most importantly - the Hermit carries a torch. That is to remind us to teach others what we’ve learned along the course. What is a brilliant star, if its light is hoarded in vain?

Do you see a theme here?

They each impart the same message: reflect, learn, conquer, teach. And I could continue with other examples, but I‘d hate to take up any more of your time... The point is: this isn’t a coincidence at all. It’s a key. And when you unlock the code the message is clear:

September is God’s gift to you.

Affirmations for the month:

I see where I have been. I am grateful for where I am.

The next step I take is on the path of where I want and need to be.

Today I will accomplish one task to further my evolutionary path.

Today I will do something for me: I will make someone else smile.

most importantly: take pleasure in this singular moment On Life’s Path. Please.

With Love & Blessings,
Christine Rossini

Numerologist & Life Path Intuit
www.lifepath.webs.com

In Celebration of August...

Happy August to each of you!

As most of you have caught on by now, every newsletter this year I have centred my thesis inspired by the origin of the month and it’s link to various modes of divination throughout history. Well, August, my fine friends, was lacking in substance. I wanted to offer more and I struggled with the direction I should take. So… I did the only thing I know how to do in such instances: I reached out to a source far greater, far more clever, than I.

I asked God to direct me on how to serve all of you best. I didn’t hear His response at first. But, then, when I least expected it, the solution to my dilemma came to me in the form of a question I was emailed earlier this week.

The question was: How can you tell when you receive a sign?

My lovely friend, Cindy, wrote me: Sometimes I feel like I can't see any signs on my path. I am not even sure what I am suppose to look/hear for really. I don't want to miss any great opportunities but I feel like I am currently doing so. Could you give me a little insight into signs along my path that I should keep my eyes/ears open for, or what form they tend to come in?

How brilliant is that? It’s the question that all of us have asked ourselves a million times at one point or another. Some of us may have figured it out. And… the rest of us can and will.

Signs, answers, solutions - call it whatever you will - they surround us in abundance. To each of us they appear in a string of patterns. Not all of our patterns are alike. For me, the signs and messages are directed to me in rather blunt ways. I can be slow on the uptake. If they weren‘t blunt they’d zoom right over my head. For others, it’s a little more subtle, perhaps harder to depict; but I assure you, the signs and solutions you seek are there.

Do not be fooled: Psychics do not have the monopoly on insight.

With careful consideration I took myself back into my past to the stage where I was learning to develop and trust my instinctual ability. It was in those day that I reached out to God a lot. I often felt lost and disconnected. I often felt like there was somewhere else that I should be: somewhere better. And I would ask for signs. And I saw none for a long time. Or, at least, that’s what I thought then. Looking back, the signs were in plain sight. I was blind.

Step One:

You must train your spirit to see as well as your eyes.

The greatest beauty in the world is often what you can’t see. It’s what you can feel. Sometimes we get stuck in our minds, fixated on the thoughts of what we must do, what we haven’t done, what we wish we could do, etc. There just isn’t enough room in our heads to focus on what we feel:

What exists beyond the white-noise that envelopes us?

Is there a breeze in the air? Can you feel it permeate your flesh?
Is there the smell of nature beyond the smell of tires on asphalt?
Listen past the cars, can you hear the sound of birds calling back and forth?

The point is: leave room in your heads for those sensations, because you are a part of what you feel. You are connected to nature. You are a mirror of that beauty. See it and know that it’s true. That is your relationship to the Divine. Keep that flow and dialogue as much as you can; because step one is BEING AWARE of your surroundings.

Step Two:

Nothing in our lives is random. Connecting to the ‘Inner’ self is about listening to our inner voice: the Higher Self. Often we are our own messengers. Meditation is a brilliant way to train the mind to tune out the external influences that invade our psyche, thus pushing out the keen wisdom we actually hold under all the clutter of we pick up in our everyday lives.

I know many of you will say that you simply don’t have time to mediate. Well, if you have time for step one… you have time for step two: PAUSE & REFLECT.

These are the most important tools that you can have in your coffer. Knowing what form signs and answers can come in means nothing if you aren’t aware of what’s around you and if you don’t pause and reflect on what you experience or feel.

As I wrote to Cindy, I’m sure there are thousands of ways that signs are presented. If I were to write it all down for you, I’d likely miss 95% of them. I’m still learning and growing, too. But, what I can tell you is: the Other Side really does want you to hear these messages, to see these signs. Following are the most common displays that I know; because they are patterns that have presented in my life.

1. Coincidence
It is difficult to discern the simple coincidence and Divine message of coincidence. How you can tell the difference is through your initial reaction to the experience. The most common display is that you are thinking of someone, then suddenly that someone calls you or you run into them. That’s an important message. Listen with care to what the person has to say: the forethought of him or her is an indication that they either have a message for you or that this is someone you need to invite into your life more: because they WILL have a message for you.

2. Repeating
This is when we hear something or read something, then hear it mentioned or see it written again in a completely different setting. Often the repeating of messages comes from strangers, acquaintances, road signs, the radio or TV.

3. Echo
We are thinking of something, then suddenly we hear the exact words we were thinking. Pay attention to what is around you at this time. Look at the medium in which the message came through. Analyse the situation with detail.

4. Music
Believe it or not there is little coincidence in the random songs that play in our head from out of nowhere. I’m not referring to a song that was playing on the radio when we woke. These are the songs that we haven’t heard in a while, then suddenly they pop in our minds. Or: have you ever gone through your day and heard the same song about a half dozen times in different places. Think about the issues you’re experiencing, then look up the words to the song. It is likely that your message in there.

5. Obstacles
You get a flat tire. You can’t find your keys. Every road light you come to is red. You drive by the road you needed to turn down. These obstacles, as much of a nuisance as they may appear are clear indicators to slow down and pay attention.

6. Lights
Flashes of light that you think are just your imagination, are often the Other Side saying: “I am here - pay attention”.

7. Manifestation
Whether physical or external: injury, illness, items breaking down in succession… such issues often mirror the state of our minds and emotions. A sore throat even though you feel fine could indicate some sort of a blocked or suppressed communication. Negativity or suppressed anger and resentment can manifest themselves as aches and pains or even into more serious conditions. Did your washer just flood? Your window leak? Water refers to your emotional state. Check in on your emotions. You may be on overload and the message is: “please find balance”.

8. Familiarity
There are certain people we meet and we immediately connection. You talk like you've known each other for eons (it’s likely that you probably have). Sometimes we confuse these instances with people we must have in our lives (and sometimes that’s true); often these are the people we assigned to cross paths with for a short while. They were meant to teach us something: they were meant to give us a message. In most cases we don’t know the difference until that person is out of our lives. It’s important that we reflect on such experiences with love - even if the termination of that association was negative. Take no experience for granted.

9. Déjà Vu
Not to be confused with familiarity, Déjà Vu is the feeling that we’ve been here, seen this, heard this, before. We have. Déjà Vu is the most significant sign post we experience. It is a reminder that we are exactly where we’re supposed to be, with purpose.

TRUST:
If you ask for guidance, if you ask for a sign, it will be given. Be patient and be open: messages will come when we least expect them. That’s how we know that they are Divine messages and not just our own wishful thinking.

The Other Side will communicate through symbols, flashes of light, noise, ideas, images, feelings, smells or by touch. When guides communicate they often put their messages in our mind; an idea you have for no reason or even a crazy thought that doesn’t make sense at first. Trust these signs.

Once you practice the art of following the messages presented, and you learn what that ’gut feeling’ feels like: the messages and signs become more clear. Practice makes perfect.

BUT

It’s not enough to know what to look for, the key is when these signs most commonly appear. When you’re driving, walking, cleaning, falling asleep, or doing anything that puts you in a semi-meditative state, this is when the signs tend to pop out. Guides choose these times to deliver message because you don’t expect them: and by presenting signs in this fashion you’re more likely to discern the difference between random and Divine.

In celebration of the month of August, I present to you the opportunity to increase your skill, to have us work in tandem. I call this offering: Spirit Message, because that’s just what it is. When you order this feature online, do not tell me what struggles you’re facing. The spirit will tell you what you NEED to know, not what you WANT to know. We will pre-determine a time, we will sit in our respective homes and meditate for a short while, then I will call on your Guide to deliver one of the messages you recently missed. When I present this message to you, I’d like you to reflect on the events you experienced in the last several weeks. Please try to discern how this message may have been presented by your Guide already. If you can tap into the pattern of HOW your Guide tries to communicate, this will strengthen the bridge for the flow of future messages. I am honoured to present this option for $15.99, and when this feature is ordered, I will email more explicit instructions.

Because…

On Life’s Path we are not without a map, nor do we walk alone… I promise.

AND…

To Cindy: thank you for your wonderful email and for being my personal messenger when I failed to notice the signs my Guide was giving me. This month’s feature for you, is free. I’ll be in contact with you shortly.

With Love & Blessings,
Christine

Numerologist & Life Path Reader
lifepath@live.ca
www.lifepath.webs.com

NOTE: This offer is only valid for August 2009 and can be obtained through my site. From Christine!

As I’m sure most of you (if not, all of you) are aware: Julius Caesar is the only person who ever gave his name to an entire month of the year. In 46 B.C. he ordered a reform of the calendar and named the seventh month after himself; the month now known as July.

It was shortly before Caesar’s Rule that the practice of divination began to be used in politics. In fact, divination was not a common man’s claim; but generally reserved for high officials.

Statesmen of that time, it was said, had their astrological profiles charted for record. It was even rumoured that Julius, himself, was versed in palmistry and had a potential traitor executed due to the finer secrets the possible traitor’s hand contained. This theory, however, is not substantiated. There is just as much history that infers Caesar was not a strong believer in the occult. History says that his death was forewarned, but still he did not heed the counsel.
For those who aren’t familiar with tarot cards, it is the Chariot that depicts Julius Caesar riding his chariot triumphantly back from the battlefield. Normally, the Chariot signifies characteristics associated with military attitudes: discipline, determination, and self-reliance. The Chariot is the 7th card in the deck. It’s link is, therefore, to that of Cancer.

The Chariot, much like the zodiac sign of Cancer, is ruled by the Element of Water. It is a symbol of the hidden emotions and the intuition that dwells within all of us. The numerical influence of this card is 7; a number that stresses control of the senses, as well as the height and refinement of our heart’s desire. The purpose of 7 is self-mastery. The affect of 7 lends an analytical and reflective element to The Chariot. The Chariot is often identified as the instrument used to reach God. One of the oldest Jewish mystical writings was titled "Merkavah" meaning: "The Chariot." Merkavah is the mode in which the individual can travel to the higher plane of God without leaving the physical form. This practise, in a way, is quite similar to what we currently term as ‘Astral Projection’.

The Chariot symbolizes new beginnings. It can indicate a journey or a move of some sort. This insight, however, comes with the warning that care and caution should be taken. One must pause and analyse the situation before rushing into anything. The Chariot also offers a sense of calmness; and requires us to maintain peace and level-headedness, regardless of external pressures. To master The Chariot, one must face and overcome fear. Its presence in a spread indicates the strengthening of our physical motivation: the ability to now take the ‘idea’ and cultivate it into ‘action’.

Like with all Tarot Cards, The Chariot carries an assortment of symbols, which offer a clearer depiction of its meaning. Some of the finer details are: The armour worn by the figure. This signifies ‘a spiritual warrior’ and his or her ‘spiritual protection’. The crab is symbolic of the traveller; seeking to explore new conquests. The Ball of Fire represents the use of power and energy. The sphinxes are a collective of the personal will. And while there are many more, it should be noted that the Charioteer is not actually driving the vehicle. He is enthroned upon it. This representation indemnifies the existence of perfect balance; that there is a guiding will.
The characteristics of this card signifies fast-paced events and/or a change of some type (moving, new job or travel, etc.). It implies the need for self-control, self-confidence, and willpower in order to succeed all obstacles. It may also suggest the need for immediate action. It can also indicate the loss of control due to personality conflicts and stubbornness.

In all my years of practising tarot, I cannot remember a time when The Chariot has shown in the past context. I thank God for that. Such placement would speak of a missed opportunity or a hesitation to act. When I see this card in a present or future context, I cannot help but inwardly smile. For in knowing we can make change.

Affirmations for the month of July (motivated by quotes from Julius Caesar):

“Experience is the teacher of all things”
I am a collector of knowledge and am compelled to impart what I’ve learned.

“Men’s minds tend to fear more keenly those things that are absent”
I am not only thankful for what I have; but equally appreciative for what I do not.

“All bad precedents begin as justifiable measures”
I am aware that my choices our mine, but my consequences may impact others. Therefore, I give careful consideration to the choices I make.

“ In extreme danger fear feels no pity”
I will not entertain fear. I give my fear to a power greater than me and choose to hold faith, instead.

“It is better to create than to learn!”
I have learned the Path I will walk and I will create an even better course!

Julius Caesar may have been a man, ruthless in his quest for power; however, there is still much positive he left in his legacy. He, like The Chariot card, teaches us that goals are attainable if we take the time to plot our course of action well. There is a warrior in all of us, a desire to be greater than the initial design. Julius Caesar proves that we can each master our power. The Chariot, however, compels us to be thoughtful in this quest; that justice isn’t just for us, but a grace we must impart.

In celebration of the month of July, I present to you the option of attaining a seat on the metaphoric ‘Chariot’. This is achieved through understanding ‘Your Pinnacles & Challenges’.
Pinnacles are the path we walk in order to reach our destination. Understanding the Pinnacles allows us to see the road ahead and where it can lead. The Challenges represent the twists, turns and potholes in that path. Naturally, these obstacles appear as matters to overcome. They are not. While walking the path we become aware of the Challenge’s significance. We learn that The Challenges are designed to enrich our experience: they must be appreciated as gifts that add to our value before they can be defeated.

The Challenges appear to do just that: they challenge us. But they’re more than that! They are the catalysts that motivate us to realize our victory. They call on us to expand our skills and to refine our innate talents. They point us to habits that we need to work on to further our spiritual evolution.

The Challenges and Pinnacles go hand in hand. Once we determine the path of our current Pinnacle, we must look toward the Challenge to discover what we need to learn along its course.
Please claim your seat on The Chariot and explore your Life’s Path through greater understanding “Your Pinnacles & Challenges”, a $34.99 value for only $29.99.

Because…
On Life’s Path we are not without a map, nor do we walk alone… Please call on the intensity of Caesar’s essence and the driving force of The Chariot in order to take your ‘ideas’ and advance them into ‘actions’.

With Love & Blessings,
Christine

In Celebration of June...

Celebrate June with LifePath!

The month of June was named for the Roman goddess, Juno. She was/is the guardian spirit of females and the patroness of marriage.

Juno was worshiped by the ancient Romans and was said to rule over all aspects of Roman life. She was called Great Mother or "Optima Maxima", which means the ‘best and greatest of the Goddesses’. Juno watches over and protects females from birth until they pass; for this reason, Roman women called their souls "juno" in honour of her. It was said that Roman women embodied a part of the Goddess's spirit, her own soul a juno, parallel to the genius of a man.

Throughout the 17th century, the silent woman in the image on the 5th card in the tarot was believed to personify Juno. She was thought to be the higher spirit that held the mysteries of our unconscious purpose and the secret pattern of our destiny. An eighteenth century tarot expert, however, changed the title from ‘Juno’ to ‘High Priestess’; the name most commonly used on tarot decks today. The High Priestess is connected with the New Moon, the phase of promise before fulfilment. She augurs a time of heightened intuition and curiosity of the esoteric.

The presence of Juno, the High Priestess, the 5th card in the tarot - whatever you want to call it - symbolizes that ‘something’ mysterious and unseen is at work in our lives.

The Goddess says: sometimes the best way to see clearly is to keep your eyes closed.

Affirmations for the month of June:
My connection with Spirit is one of co-creation
My definition of Fate is: ‘My Personal Power’
I am inspired by the value and excellence of my design
I find my path by listening to my instinct and surrounding myself with light

Juno is the Goddess of light and beauty, the matron's goddess. A guardian angel to the women of the world… Invite Juno to celebrate your life with you. And when you struggle with finding cause to celebrate… please call on me.

In celebration of the Goddess, Juno: For the month of June I will present you with enlightenment on The Secret Pattern of your Destiny (a $69.99 Value for $49.99). Similar to a Calendar spread, the Destiny Chart outlines specific phases of your life, throughout your life, along with the challenges and opportunities that surround you. In the words of William Jennings Bryan: ‘Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice, it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.’

Destiny and Fate are not circumstances that bind you without options. Destiny and Fate are merely Guides that make choices for you when you neglect to take power of your own direction.

Because…

On Life’s Path we are not without a map, nor do we walk alone… Allow the protective light of Juno wash over you and trust her to know what your spirit needs most to achieve your destiny.

With Love & Blessings,
Christine

www.lifepath.webs.com

Our Personal Covenant…

It doesn't take a person of insight to tell you that the more baggage you carry the more you'll be weighed down. You will slow. You will tire. You may even collapse under the strain. The issue I have is in what we deem baggage to be. I don't think negative experience constitutes as baggage. I don't think responsibilities such as family or work constitutes as baggage, either. And finances, sure they stress us out... but is that really baggage? Now that I really consider it, is it even the baggage that weights us down? Or is it what we're carrying in the bags that inhibits us from progression?

An experience is only negative if we agree that it is.
Someone or something only has power over us if we agree to give them our power.
We are only stupid or ugly or foolish or damned if we agree that we are.

I think we need to come to the place where we make new agreements. Don't you?

I have a project for you:

Please get a pen and paper and write out the covenants you're willing to make with yourself. Look at the list from time to time to ensure that you're staying on course. Six months from now reanalyze that list and evaluate how you've evolved.

I have done this - many times, in fact - and here are a few of my agreements:

I have agreed to be clear with my words.
I have agreed that only I'm allowed to have power over me.
I have agreed to be kinder and more understanding of me.
I have agreed to compliment myself at least once a day.
I have agreed that I will return home greater than when I arrived here.

Most importantly:

I have agreed that I will carry only the things I can use to realize my Life's Path.

What covenants are you willing to make with You?

http://www.lifepath.webs.com/

The Demons Among Us…

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334777852284306514" style="FLOAT: left; These demons are much, much worse.

They dwell inside us.

Their voices are disguised as our own. Their thoughts are our thoughts. They have the power to control us and prevent us from contentment and fulfilment. And there are many. There is one demon, however, that I know quite well. I have battled this demon many times throughout my life. I have also learned that the best way to weaken this beast is to shine light on it; to call it by name.

This demon is Fear.

I am afraid to be alone.
I am afraid that I'm unworthy.
I am afraid to be poor.
I am afraid to fail.
I am afraid to be seen as weak.

And Fear pulls the strings, causing us to do foolish things. It leads us into temptation and addiction. It influences us in how we treat others. It is the cause of insecurity, of hoarding, and of jealousy. It prevents us from moving forward. It prevents us from making the difficult choice. It prevents us from hearing the message that our spirit needs to hear:

I am not alone.

I am worthy of happiness.
I am not limited in my potential.
I am a strong and powerful spirit.
I am vulnerable and that vulnerability makes me beautiful.

My friend, let me tell you what Fear does not want you to know: You are a bright and shining light, filled with greatness and wonder. This world is yours. It was made for you. You are the past and the future and this world needs you to be present! Happiness isn't a quest: it is your birthright! It has been with you since the day you were born! Somewhere along the way it simply got misplaced under the clutter of everything your inner-demons have collected and stored within you since infancy.

So, how did Fear get this authority over you?

You gave your power to it.

I think it's time for you to take your power back.

Let that be the first Agreement you agree to make with You.

http://www.lifepath.webs.com/

May: In Celebration of the Goddess, Maia

LifePath offers you a warm welcome to May!

Even as the first suggestion of warmth permeates the air, spring feels like the world is waking up. Renewal. Rebirth. Possibilities flourish. Seeds, both literally and metaphorically, are being planted with high hopes.

May is named for the goddess Maia, the goddess of increase. She represents the spring month, when some crops begin to bloom, while others are merely being sown. Keener intimation motivates us to follow our instinct and, yet, to pause before moving into action. For how we plant our garden will lend itself to the crop we yield. We must take our time; plant each seed with careful thought, plant each seed with thanks.

The universal vibration of this month is governed by the number 7. This implies the need for Reflection, Intuition, and Reserve. On the whole, the universal vibration doesn’t carry enough force to usurp your individual numerical influences, but still, it is a suggestive place to enter the season.
